Our mission

We strive to create opportunities for every veteran affected by combat to heal and live with dignity. The project “Aybolit: On the Way to Recovery” develops comprehensive support programs for veterans, including the organization of transportation and medical services, psychological and legal counseling, rehabilitation activities, and educational programs.

Aybolit

A hallmark of a developed society during wartime is the guarantee of quality medical treatment and the fullest possible realization of veterans’ right to health — including those with severe injuries and amputations — through rehabilitation and the creation of adaptive spaces aimed at further social reintegration. The Aybolit: On the Way to Recovery project, implemented by the charitable organization “Wings of Victory Foundation,” was conceived as a social initiative providing free support to veterans who sacrificed their health for our freedom and independence.

Launched in 2023, the project creates conditions for restoring the physical and mental health of veterans from Kyiv and the Kyiv region, promotes social adaptation and the acquisition of new professions, and ensures access to medical and legal assistance. We design comprehensive support programs that include transportation and medical services, psychological and legal counseling, rehabilitation activities, and a cycle of training programs for micro-entrepreneurs. We believe that care and support are the foundation for recovery and for every hero’s return to peaceful life and full reintegration into society.

Victoria Kramarenko: A Reel by EEF About the Head of "Wings of Victory"

In 2015, Victoria Kramarenko left her hospital job to begin rescuing Ukrainian defenders on the front lines. She evacuated wounded soldiers from the hottest combat zones, working directly in field hospitals and frontline positions. Later, she founded the "Wings of Victory" foundation, which supports veterans with rehabilitation, recovery, legal aid, and psychological care. Thanks to the Capable and Resistant Program by the East Europe Foundation and Switzerland, she launched a new initiative: psychological retreats. Here, veterans engage in art therapy, specialized training, and business courses. Watch medic Victoria’s full story in the video.
