Recovery is always a journey. For many veterans, it begins with finding a new role in civilian life. Micro entrepreneurship becomes the bridge that helps navigate this path: from military service to business ownership, from wartime experience to creative endeavor.
This weekend, as part of the “Aybolit: On the Way to Recovery” project, we conducted training for the veteran community—”Launch and Grow Your Business”. Participants worked on:
- Business fundamentals (marketing, business models, financial planning)
- Funding mechanisms (grant programs, application processes, pitch presentations)
The business simulation game generated the most excitement, where participants:
- Developed business strategies
- Calculated operational budgets
- Analyzed gaps between projections and actual outcomes
Key takeaway: Business success requires more than numbers – it demands:
- Team collaboration
- Adaptive decision-making
- Strategic flexibility
Two intense days flew by in a whirlwind of debates, laughter, and hands-on case studies. “The veterans’ crucial insight,” says project lead Viktoriya Kramarenko, “is that business-driven reintegration offers not just personal recovery, but the power to create value for others.”
