In 2015, Victoria Kramarenko left her hospital job to begin rescuing Ukrainian defenders on the front lines. She evacuated wounded soldiers from the hottest combat zones, working directly in field hospitals and frontline positions. Later, she founded the “Wings of Victory” foundation, which supports veterans with rehabilitation, recovery, legal aid, and psychological care.
Thanks to the Capable and Resistant Program by the East Europe Foundation and Switzerland, she launched a new initiative: psychological retreats. Here, veterans engage in art therapy, specialized training, and business courses. Watch medic Victoria’s full story in the video:
