May 24, 2026. Kyiv has once again become the target of one of the most massive attacks. The smoke has not yet cleared, and we are already on our way to our veterans.
You can never get used to war. We are learning to live under sirens, amidst the rubble of the night, under the weight of pain and loss. But war cannot break our spirit. We are Ukrainians. A small, scarred, yet unbreakable nation. We stand firm, defend our home, and pay an exorbitant price in lives and destinies. It is our faith, humanity, and inner resilience that prevent us from giving up.
Today, just like every week for the past three years, our transport with veterans set off through the smoky streets of Kyiv. Past ruined buildings, charred facades, and streets that just hours ago were filled with chaos. We traveled because life must go on. Because supporting those who have endured war cannot wait.
Our journey led us to the “Klondike” stable. There, amidst the woods and lakes, special meetings with horses take place. Among them is our Barcelona.
A horse heals silently. It sees and feels more than words can express. With it, one cannot be insincere. It responds not to voice, but to the soul. Weekly horseback rides restore balance, reminding us of our connection to life and the light that war desperately tries to take away. Sometimes one ride heals more than hundreds of words. And sometimes no words can explain how the twelve years of war have been changing us. So today, it is not words that speak for us. Our actions speak for us. Our endurance. Our love for life. And our stubborn, daily: Stand firm!
