This week, on May 15, we mark three years since the “Wings of Victory” Charitable Foundation launched the “Aybolit: On the Way to Recovery” project. The project includes comprehensive assistance programs for veterans, particularly those with amputations, providing access to medical, rehabilitation, psychological, social, and educational services.

During this time, 7,970 beneficiaries have received free services from the project, such as social transportation, rehabilitation through sports activities in the pool and gym, therapeutic horseback riding, psychological and legal support, educational programs for veterans, and psychological retreats.

Social transportation accounts for nearly half of our overall efforts—almost 3,500 severely wounded veterans. The project’s specially equipped vehicles have covered 158,460 km—equivalent to almost four Earth circumferences.

These achievements are the result of the dedicated work of a small project team, as well as support from our sponsors and partners. The free services provided by “Aybolit” (for beneficiaries) are not without cost and require ongoing financial contributions from donors. Everyone can contribute to the rehabilitation of our defenders.
