At the end of June, in Kyiv, the “Aybolit: On the Way to Recovery” project held a two-day workshop on “Start and Improve Your Business” for a group of veterans who want to start their own businesses. The trainees received comprehensive information on all aspects of business creation and development:

• From idea to implementation: how to turn a dream into a concrete business plan.
• Fundamentals of entrepreneurship: legal aspects, taxation, and financing.
• Marketing and sales: how to attract customers and effectively promote your product or service.
• Management and development: how to effectively manage a business and plan for its growth.

The course, which was specially designed for the target audience of veterans with entrepreneurial ambitions, includes the business game “Plan. Do. Improve.” Fully adapted to modern realities, this game simulates key business processes—from planning and financing to team management and customer interaction.

Why is the business game important?

• Hands-on experience without risk: The game provides a unique opportunity to gain practical skills in a safe environment. You can test different strategies, make mistakes, and learn from those mistakes without losing any real funds or reputation.
• Development of critical thinking: The game encourages you to analyze situations, predict the consequences of decisions, and quickly adapt to changes.
• Teamwork and communication: The game involves team participation, which promotes the development of collaboration and effective communication skills.
• Deep understanding of business processes: By playing, you see the relationships between the different departments and stages of the company’s activities, which gives a holistic view of how the business functions.
• Motivation to learn: Learning through play is exciting and effective because it combines fun with the acquisition of new knowledge and skills.
